I am a recent graduate of the University of Alberta Bachelor of Design Program with a Certificate in Sustainability. I hope to pursue a career in Interior Design and Architecture.
My professors always reminded me that words like “classic” and “modern” can mean different things to everyone. Personally, I find great value in the warmth and ornament associated with a more traditional era of design, however, it would be irresponsible to design in today’s world without acknowledging its current conditions and needs.
Throughout my work, I choose to highlight the moments where these two forms not only intersect, but where their coexistence creates something beautiful.
